The ultimate goal is to preach love by example, then you don't need to change their presuppositions because they have already been change by your example.

I agree with the basic idea that a persons background, world view and so on have a huge influence on how they view the world or what type of data they let in to help then understand the things around them. We have so much info coming in that it becomes important to erected some mental barrier of some sort so that we do not take every belief or point of view as equally valid or true and still let in the some. I believe this is one of the most important skills a person can have to getting a few steps closer to a better understanding of the world. It is a difficult process. It is important for people in todays global secular culture to questions why they believe what they believe about the world and equally important for all people. This way we will be able to come as close as possible to objectively look at why our beliefs, no matter what they are, are so different than so many other people that believe as strongly as we do. I know my beliefs are often wrong.
