"Regardless of what anyone may personally think or believe about him, Jesus of Nazareth has been the dominant figure in the history of western culture for almost twenty centuries... It is from his birth that most of the human race dates its calendars, it is by his name that millions curse and in his name that millions pray."

Is there any way you could include sources for some of these quotes from secular thinkers? It would help a lot! Thanks so much for an awesome website!
There is a series called Jesus & Culture on ITunes U. put there by Emory University. In it, there are 5 mp3s of Jeroslav Pelikan. I haven't heard them yet (in between car stereos that have USB ports), but this may offer you a source for Pelikan mp3s, if Emory wouldn't mind you linking to them. I understand he made quite a journey from liberal to conservative as he studied the church fathers.
