Evidence Jesus is Alive by Timothy McGrew

In this audio from the CrossExamined Radio show, Dr. Timothy McGrew presents five evidences that make a case for Jesus' resurrection. The brief outline of these can be found here. This is a great interview by Frank Turek, and more great content from McGrew. Be sure to visit the Library of Historical Apologetics as well. The CrossExamined podcast archive is here; subscribe to it in iTunes or RSS.

Full MP3 Audio here. (51min)
Enjoy.

I notice this outline calls “witnesses” Josephus and Tactius, who when the Resurrection allegedly took place, had not yet been born.

Ever heard of corroborative witnesses Robin? I would think that they are relevant because they are also Jewish.

Also, I don't see the word "witnesses" used in the outline, only "Appearances", so I believe you misunderstood and are nitpicking.

Anonymous, two things:
1. The quote Robin was referring is this for the forth point V: "Voluntary sufferings undergone by the first witnesses (Acts, Josephus, Tacitus and others)"

2. Tacitus is actually not "Jewish".

Robin, I think you misunderstood the outline. It's not saying that Tacitus and Josephes are witnesses but that Tacitus and Josephus give us information about the "Voluntary sufferings undergone by the first witnesses" i.e. don't read the bracketted comments as examples of "witnesses" but examples of sources for the point. This is confirmed by the fact that "Acts" is not a "witness" but the Book of Acts is a source for the "Voluntary sufferings undergone by the first witnesses".

Hope this clarifies.

Great lecture! However I have one question. You linked to the Library of Historical Apologetics, however I have been closely following this project for a long time and for a year maybe a year and a half nothing has really changed. Does anyone know when anymore progress will be made on it. Please let me know if anyone has any input on the status of the project as this truly looks great. Thanks!
