Hi there,

Does this count as a comment for the book contest? LOL!

Anyhow, in a world that is increasingly becoming post-christian, and anti-christian, it certainly is becoming more and more important for "ordinary" Christians to become well-versed in apologetics!

Blessings,
William Dicks

Its a such a shame there isn't anywhere here in the uk where you can study for a MA in Apologetics...I would be there in a flash ;(

Dan, there is the distance learning option with Biola. Also check out the opportunities found this link.

Thanks for the great work your doing for the Lord, I have a friend in the MA Apologetics program now!

Dan from the UK, you may not have a MA program in apologetics, but you don't need it. The Oxford Center for Christian Apologetics (www.theocca.org) has a one-year certificate program that will rival anything here in the States.

Dr. Hazen rocks. :-)

Dan, two distance options that you could investigate (in addition to the Oxford Center option noted above) are both from TRACS accredited schools (ATS is the "premium" accreditor of Christian seminaries in North America but TRACS is still entirely valid & legitimate accreditation):

Southern Evangelical Seminary
Master of Arts in apologetics (or philosopy)
http://ses.edu/Academic/DegreesSchools/MasterofArts/tabid/244/Default.aspx

Luther Rice University
Master of Arts in apologetics
http://www.lru.edu/Content.aspx?page=MA%20in%20Apologetics&tool=quicklinks

That said, although these degrees may be very interesting and teach you a lot, their practical utility would be limited, so make sure you understand exactly what you are getting and how the credential could (and could not) be used before you enroll.

In! (woo-hoo!)

PS - Found 315 via STR blog. Thanks a TON for all the resources! (So stoked to know Nash's stuff is mp3'd - I listened to an awesome "tape" series just over a decade ago. My how much more convenient and cheaper getting worthy material into our ears has become w/podcasted mp3s!)

Craig Hazen is an awesome guy. And no other program touches the M.A. in Apologetics at BIOLA. Where else can you get a class with JP Moreland, one with William Lane Craig, another with Craig Hawkins and attend a Defending the Faith Lecture Series with Gary Habermas, Alvin Plantinga and others greats all in the same semester?

Great contest!
