Biola's apologetics program is one of the best, and it's good to know that plenty of the lectures that take place at Biola can be found online for free at Open Biola. Speakers include the likes of Daniel Wallace, Craig Hazen, Sean McDowell, John Mark Reynolds, Nabeel Qureshi,  Scott Klusendorf, Richard Swinburne, William Lane Craig, Alvin Plantinga, J.P. Featured Ministry: Christian Thinkers Society

One of Apologetics315's goals is to help promote apologetics in the local church. Last month we featured Tactical Faith, which aims to get resources into churches -- but today's featured ministry is the Christian Thinkers Society, a great example of an apologetics-centered ministry within the local church. It is based on the concept of having a "Christian Thinkers Night" each week in order to "raise the spiritual aptitude of God’s people by taking deep, profound apologetic truth and explaining it in non-technical language so they will understand and be stimulated to communicate, spread and defend the Christian message." Jeremiah Johnson is leading this initiative at New Day Church Kansas City in Olathe, Kansas.

Christian Thinkers Nights also feature Skype interviews (vimeo videos can be found here) of some of today's leading Christian apologists. This is an excellent concept that could be adapted and customized for use in other churches. It's worth checking out and following.

If you are familiar with the excellent BeThinking website, consider visiting BeSpeaking. This is a site designed to equip those doing short apologetics talks. Their strategy revolves around hosting "Lunchbars," which offer a free lunch on a campus accompanied by a 20-minute talk and 15 minute Q&A. The site helps you write a talk, put on an event, and answer objections. This is a great model that other campus groups might benefit from. It is also a good starting point for those considering creating their own apologetics events.

Ratio Christi: Student Apologetics Alliance

What would happen if 500 apologetics study groups were started in campuses across the United States in the next five years? If that prospect excites you, then Ratio Christi is an organization you need to be a part of. Apologetics 315 recently interviewed Rick Schenker, the president of Ratio Christi, and the mission of this group is amazing. This is also a perfect opportunity for today's apologists to get active in making a difference by helping to start and/or support campus study groups. Interested?

Faithful Thinkers, run by Luke Nix, consistently features audios and videos covering apologetics topics. Case for Christianity regularly features short apologetics videos. Ken Samples New Blog: Reflections

Philosopher and theologian Ken Samples has a new blog called Reflections. Some may already be familiar with Ken's Straight Thinking podcast, and will most likely want to follow his blog as well. His goal is to help and challenge Christians to think carefully about the implications of their worldview. Check out his phenomenal inaugural post: 100 Academic Commandments, which covers the classroom, study skills, student life, and the development of the Christian mind.

New Apologetics Journal: Hope's Reason

Hope's Reason is a newly formed apologetics journal. The vision for this journal is to bridge the gap between scholarship and the local church. Scholars have done much work in the areas of apologetics but their research has often gone unnoticed by the local church.  This journal seeks to provide scholarly treatments of important apologetic issues, not just for other scholars, but for pastors, educated laypeople, students and even honest seekers looking for answers.
