As a follow-up to the interview, I'm still amazed at how many NDE's are all around us, within our circles of trust. Yet, people don't talk about them unless prompted.

The day of the interview, I was talking to a man I've known for 15 years. I'd given him a copy of my book. He told me in amazement of how, two days after reading the book, he was eating lunch with a couple of acquaintances. One had been struck by lightning in his back yard and had a life-changing NDE.

Four percent of the population has experienced one, according to surveys in the US and Germany. Powerful stuff when you begin interviewing NDE experiencers connected to you in some way. I plan to keep interviewing, even though my book is written.

Hi Steve! 4% is amazingly high, I only used nde evidence once before and the skeptic kind of laughed and said that the people saying these things were obviously crazy or liars, however with numbers like this i think a reasonable skeptic has to have alittle more respect for humanity and accept maybe there is something to atleast SOME of the claims. I used to install nursecall systems all over nj (hospitals and oldage homes), I would always hangout and talk with the nurses/staff and I would hear eerie stories all the time but I remember one in perticular. Mind you I wasn't a Christian at the time, but a nurse told me about a man who came into the ER either shot or stabbed, he kept flatlining and everytime they would revive him he kept screaming/begging for them not to let him die again because the devil was trying to take him to hell. I'm still not sure what I believe about stories like that, but go and talk to a nurse sometime....these types of stories are unnervingly common and often times....very similar

Its interesting to note that famous atheist A.J. Ayer had a NDE. It seems to have drawn him somewhat closer to God or at least Father Frederick Copleston.
