Dr. Ross is such a gracious ambassador for our Lord. I agree with him that dialogue among the brothers and sisters is key to the advancement of the Kingdom in all walks of life-including the scientific. Above all, as Dr. Ross pointed out, we must conduct ourselves in the manner of 1 Peter 3:15.

Love Dr. Ross. He is a brilliant man and I believe his heart is in the right place. I don't agree with him on everything but still he is a brother in Christ. One of my issues with something he had to say revolves around when he was talking about Adam in Genesis 2. He says when Eve was created, that Adam said "at long last". That is how he says the Hebrew word is translated. He says from that that Adam was around for a long time before Eve was created. I am going to grant all of this toward Dr. Ross' argument. If that is so, just how long was it? How old was Adam from the time he was created before Eve was created? It can't have been more than 930 years. The problem he runs into here is that Genesis 5 tells us EXACTLY how long Adam lived. So was he 500 years old? If it was something like that, it is going to take a whole lot of 500 hundred year periods to add up to millions or billions of years. Just a thought.

Todd,

Hugh and his staff address that question in their "I Didn't Know That" podcast -- this episode of their podcast.
